Under the supervision of Mike Parker, Invicta's Director of Football and UEFA qualified coach, the club identifies and nurtures players who have demonstrated a high level of footballing ability and are capable of playing at a much higher level within the club.
The programme offers a high standard of coaching under Mike utilising various components of the FA four corner model, further extending players individual knowledge and playing style within an inclusive squad whom will play against higher standard opposition at certain parts of the season.
Using Mike's extensive contacts in professional football, if we identify a player as being extremely talented, Mike will look to work with their parents to place them at a professional teams academy.
For the 2018/19 season Mike will be looking to form two squads using the U11 & U12 and U13 & U14 boys too make two gifted and talented teams. These teams will have monthly specialist training with Mike Parker as well as fixtures against representative sides and development academies.
Mike will also be working individually with the girls teams at Invicta and initiating a female Gifted Player Programme as they grow.
Younger players showing above average ability will be assessed and coached by Mike in preparation for them entering the programme when they reach the U11's.
